How can a company's local affiliation be communicated through identity design?

 
 

This project was based on an existing local flower shop where I live, at Sagene in Oslo. This store is one of several other flower shops on Sagene, and the background for the project was to strengthen their position in the market. The store's goal is to become the population of Sagene's first choice of flower shop, and to be a friend in the neighborhood, not just a commercial business.

 

 

 

Tone-of-voice with a clear message, a humorous touch, engaging directly with the local community is used as the main design element. Together with quick, hand drawn illustrations and the informal, friendly name, Hjørnet invites Sagene into their store.

I was inspired to do this project, after walking past several of the flower shops at Sagene every day, not seeing much of a difference between any of them. This was my attempt at standing out.
